When booking, a credit card is required, what is it for?

When making your reservation we request a credit card as a guarantee, we don’t charge anything on it, but in the event of you not arrining at the hotel, the day of your expected arrival, and if your reservation hadn’t been cancelled within 48 hours before the planned arrival, we would charge in the amount of the first night’s charge per room.

What does “RESERVATION NON REFUNDABLE” mean?

It’s a booking that is fully paid when making the reservation without the possibility of refunding the money if you cancel the booking. This is the condition for a cheaper rate.

When paying the bill? How can I pay the bill? With the credit card I gave when I booked?

The bill has to be paid at the front desk upon arrival at the hotel through the mode of payment you prefer, you don’t need to pay with the same credit card you gave as guarantee when booking, you can choose to pay with another credit card or cash.

Cancellation fees?

The charge is the amount of the first night per room, provided that you don’t inform us about the booking cancellation 5 days prior to the scheduled date of your arrival.

How much time do I have for cancelling my booking without any charge?

5 days before the arrival date of your booking. But we would appreciate if you didn’t wait until the last minute to cancel your reservation if you previously know that you can’t travel; a customer may even be on the waiting list to make a booking.

How far is the beach?

The beach is about 300 metres. The hotel is located on a hill.

What kind of rooms do you have?

Most of them are standard type, 2 beds, a renovated bathroom, and balcony or terrace.
We have extra beds and cots(on request), don’t forget to mention it when booking.

We also have connecting rooms and double bed rooms, if you need it, please request them when booking.
We have some wkeelchair adapted rooms (availability is limited and must be reserved at the time of booking).

Any of the special rooms above mentioned aboved are subject to availability, we will always try to fulfil our customer requirements.
Let us know your preferences about room location (sea view, pool view, high floor, etc..) we’ll try to do all our best to satisfy your requests.

What are the opening times for the Restaurant ?

Breakfast : From 7’30h to 10’30h.
Lunch : In July and August from 13’15 to 15’45, rest of year from 13’00 to 15’30.
Dinner : In July and August from 19’30 to 22’30, rest of year from 19’00 to 22’00.

What are theopening times for the swimming pool?

Standar times from 10’30h to 18’30. The opening hours are extended in July and August until 20’30h. The hotel has a lifeguard.

Is there any car park? How much does it cost? Can I reserve a car park space?

We have a car park area not covered and protected with a barrier. No watchman, just security cameras. The price is €6,5 per day.
You can’t reserve the car park space prior to your arrival. Spaces are very limited and are subject to availability.

The hotel won´t be liable for any theft, loss or damage to your vehicle or its contents by third parties, as well as sanctions for improper parking.

Is there any covered parking nearby?

Yes, there is an establishment next to us, but not always rented to non-clients.
The price is approximately €10 per day.
The other one is located 15 minutes walk from the hotel.

Is it generally difficult to find parking?

At Easter, July and August, yes it is. Outside of these dates it’s usually ok.

Do the rooms have a minibar?

The rooms don’t have any minibar but you can hire a fridge for an amount of €4 per day. You can request it at the front desk.

Where is the remote control for the air conditioning?

In the room there isn’t any remote control for air conditioning. You have an on/off switch, the device is set up at the suitable temperature. If you need to regulate it, you may request a remote control at the front desk, you’ll have to pay a deposit, which will be returned when you hand it back.

Can I have lunch or dinner on half board?

Half board includes breakfast and dinner but if you want to choose breakfast and lunch option you should ask reception 24 hours before. The chosen service will then remain unchanged for the rest of the stay. The restaurant is self-service.

Do you sell: All Inclusive? Are drinks included in the service?

We usually don’t have “all inclusive” service. Our options are: bed and breakfast, half board or full board.
You must pay for drinks at lunch or at dinner as they aren’t included, unless specified on the voucher.

May I take the towel of my room to the pool or to the beach?

No, you can’t. Your bathroom towels are for your personal hygiene, you can’t take it out of the room. If you need towels for the outdoor pool, the lifeguard will be able to provide a towel hiring service, you’ll have to pay €10 for a towel, when returning it (that day or a week later), he will pay you back €8. The difference is for the washing of the towel.

Is there a safe-box in the room?

Yes, all rooms have a safe-box to rent. The price is  €3 per day plus a €5 deposit which will be paid back when returning the key.

How can I get to the hotel from the airport?

You can take a taxi, the cost is about €25 depending on luggage and time. Tell the driver to go to Benalmadena COSTA.

You can also take a train from the airport, towards Fuengirola (€2) and get off at Arroyo de la Miel. Once there, you can come on foot, we are about 2 kms. downhill, but we recommend you to take a taxi to the hotel, you will pay about €7.

How can I get to the hotel from María Zambrano Station?

You can take a taxi, the cost is about €25 depending on luggage and time. Tell the driver to go to Benalmadena COSTA.
You can also take a train at the same station (suburban train), towards Fuengirola (€3) and get off at Arroyo de la Miel. Once there, you can come on foot, we are about 2 kms. downhill, but we recommend you to take a taxi to the hotel, you will pay about €7.
Finally you can get to the hotel by bus nº 110(the bus station is very close to the train station) and get off at Benalmadena Costa, the RIVIERA HOTEL STOP, we are about 200 metres but you will have to go up a hill.

Do you have wi-fi? Must I pay for it?

Yes, we do, a FREEwi-fi connection throughout the hotel.

Is there INTERNET BOOTHS in the hotel? Is it free?

In the lobby of the hotel, there are coin-operated computers. To use them, you must pay about €1 /10 minutes.

What are the Internet connexions in the hotel?

If you bring your own laptop or smarthphone you can connect it to free wi-fi.
If you do not bring any equipment, you can use the coin-computers in the lobby of the hotel.

Where can I go on trip during the day?

The most important cities that can be visited in one day tour are : Granada, Córdoba, Sevilla, Tanger, Tetúan, Gibraltar, and the villages of Nerja or Ronda. Other tours in the afternoon or in the morning : Marbella, Málaga, Mijas, Torremolinos, Benalmádena Pueblo, etc..

Does Benalmadena have an Aquatic Park?

It has 2 very close, One in Torremolinos about 2 kms, and the other one in Mijas (8 kms).

What kind of entertainment does Benalmadena have?

Benalmadena offers  a variety of entertainment including all kinds of water spots, boat hire and rides to see dolphins, water skiing, watercraft hiring, paddle boats, etc..
On land: the Aquarium, the Paloma Park, Casino, Marina Wildlife Park, cable car, Fuengirola Zoo, Toros, Water Parks, etc …
Nightlife in Bonanza and Ibensa Squares(British atmosphere), Plaza Solymar or Puerto Marina. Etc.. Etc. .. etc. ..

Is It alowed to make a non hired party inside the Hotel?

NO, it’s not allowed to make a non hired party at the indoor or outdoor hotel facilities.

Can we smoke in the rooms?

You can only smoke on terraces or gardens, it’s not allowed to smoke in the rooms or in any internal or common area.

Is there a laundry service?

Yes. Inside the wardrobe in your room, you’ll find a bag and a price list where you can include the clothes you want to have washed and /or ironed.

What time should I check into my room?

We’ll do all our best in order that you can enter the room before 2p.m. The previous client may use it until 11 a.m. and so, we need time to prepare it adequately for you. If you arrive before your room is available, the hotel will put at your disposal a luggage room to accommodate your suitcases and other luggage and you will be able to make use of the hotel facilities.

What time do I check out of the room?

You must leave the room before 11’00 a.m.

Today I check out but my flight leaves in the afternoon, in the meantime, can I use the hotel facilities?

Yes you can, you must leave your room before 11 a.m.. And you can use the services of the hotel until your departure time. You can leave your baggage in the luggage room, you can have access to a Courtesy room to have a shower and change your clothes and this service is free of charge and a courtesy from the hotel.

If you prefer to use your room and give it up later than 11h pm, you can stay in it, but there will be an extra charge for this  and the room is subject to availability(please contact the front desk on the day of your departure).

Yes, all rooms have a hairdryer.

I would like a gesture for a birthday or an anniversary

If during your stay you want to celebrate these special days, you can hire our service “cava” and we will provide you a cake or a fruit bowl. We would deliver it up to your room when you tell us or would be served at the Restaurant.
